They scored it a single and batter was also allowed to stay at first. Ump said the ball was in foul territory when it hit the runner while on the base, so ump called him safe. Part of the runner's body was in foul territory while he was standing on the base. ![]() I was watching my grandson's 9 yr old team play in a tournament this weekend and a runner was hit by a batted ball while he was standing on third base.
